Stop Killing Orangutans for Palm Oil

Brands like Whole Foods, Dunkin Brands, and White Bread are harvesting Palm Oil unsustainably.  Where as some brands like Walmart, PepsiCo, and Mars are harvesting Palm Oil  sustainably. (Source: http://palmoilscorecard.panda.org/check-the-scores/manufacturers/colgate-palmolive) Unsustainable Palm Oil harvesting results in lack of food, medicine, and homes for animals such as orangutans. 25 orangutans die every day. A shoking halfof the products on our supermarket shelves  contain Palm Oil (Source: Greenpeace). African oil palm trees are extensively grown in central Africa, Malaysia, and Indonesia. These trees and animals, insects, and humans that call them home are being burned via slash-and-burn methods for this unsustainable production. A few of the many products that contain Palm Oil are; margarine, ice cream, chocolate confections, cookies, and bread. Palm Oil is also found in pharmaceuticals. Palm Oil industries are also using the  agriculture Method: slash-and-burn. (Source: Britannica). Shane.care Petition: Stop Killing Orangutans for Palm Oil

Stand up with people from around the world to demand brands like Unilever, Nestlé and Mondelez keep their promises. Indonesia's forests are being destroyed to clear the way for palm oil - an ingredient used to make products for these global brands. If we don't act, more precious habitats will be ruined. People could lose their homes and the orangutan could be lost forever. Take action and tell big companies to stop using palm oil from rainforest destroyers.

Ever since I was a baby there's been some voice inside my head inspiring love, love for the environment, love for what it is, and love for love. I hope you will care too, care to bring out the love in everyone's soul that is necessary to fix the severe damage that we have caused in this once beautiful and peaceful world that we live in. I started this journey at 9 years old and now I am eleven years old going on 25.

Hey there outstanding blog! Does running a blog similar to this require a large amount of work? I have absolutely no expertise in coding but I was hoping to start my own blog soon. Anyway, should you have any suggestions or tips for new blog owners please share. Thanks for the information on palm oil!

Hello, Taj. Thanks for reaching out! Creating a blog can involve some miled HTML coding if you want to do things like indenting the first sentence of a paragraph without indenting the whole paragraph or creating a “continue reading” button but the code for things is pretty easy to find on the internet. However a lot of things on wordpress do not require code. I’m glad you appreciated the content.
